Caution against Remit2Home.com

My Fiancée lives in the Philippines and I live in America. I often send her money for some support, or to build up some savings for when I arrive there to live. I have used a few of the money transfer companies available on the internet, which I will not mention except Remit2Home.I had been happily using a company before Remit2Home started flooding the internet with their ads. They said their fee was less so I decided to try them out.

I signed up, and proceeded to send Elena some money. They did their test of my account sending me a small amount then taking it back. I then got a phone call from them wanting to know everything about me except maybe my blood type. One thing they did ask was the test transfer amount to prove I was the account holder. This all happened within 2 days after I signed up. Then we waited a week, nothing. Then 2 weeks, still nothing. They advertise 24/7 support. WHERE? Their phones are never answered and their Chat Live crashes or never works.

Oh, one time they answered the phone, and the girl said she would contact someone in the customer service department and have someone return my call. NEVER HAPPENED. I would send emails and 2 days later I would get a promise they are investigating. 2 days ago, I get an email saying the money has been deposited. Well, my fiancée went to her bank and NO, NOTHING THERE. Also now all I get is their auto-response email, but nothing more. It has been ONE MONTH and no money. BEYOND SHIT!

Its sad to hear those words coz I used to send money too to my relatives in the Philippines with Remit2home but then same thing happened and one of my friends told me about jitpay.com. Its a money online transfer to the Philippines. Then I told myself there is no harm in trying rather stay in that kind of situation anyway that friend of mind is already a regular customer of jitpay and so far she is satisfied with their service so am I. It’s because they have the highest rates, more convenient, faster and they have the lowest charges. Imagine they only charge $9.00 for 1000-2000 transfer. Think of how much you can save? And I be friended one agents who always takes care of my transfer for me. I truly appreciate them.

This also happened to me. I am sending money through one online remittance system but I was lured by remit2home’s cheaper charge. But it turned out to be the same thing that happed to you. They debited my account and I never heard from them again. Does this mean I will not receive the money they debited from me and the recipient will never receeive the money as well?
How can we stop this thing from happening? Why do they allow this kind of scams to adv ertise?

wow! something got to be done with these people scavenging for victims. I was in the process of sending my bank account when I became suspicious and check for any blogs. Well, if I were you who had all your account info., I think it would be wise to tell your bank to block any transaction in the future. Be safe and sleep well.

This is happening to me.. Bruce, did you ever get your money back?
Well, we definitely need to complain, Inquirer is advertising this company, and a reputable company such as inquirer should be informed that remit2home is not reliable and could possibly be a hoax…inquirer could definitely put the word out there what remit2home is doing..

    Hey guys,

I am also one of the victim of this remit2home. I am so frustrated on whats on going with the money that I sent to my family.

Last 25th of February I signed and send money to my family coz I believed in their scam advertisement which fast, reliable & easy plus lowest transfer fee. Untill now my recepient hasn’t get the money yet. My recepient tried to pick-up the money numerous time in the bank but it was just said “failed/reference number/identification code is invalid”. This whole thing make me sick, I am so worried coz it was not just a small amount involved. Now I really dont know what to do. Its been about 3 weeks ago i transacted the money.

I keep emailing them regarding this matter but they dont answer me straight. They would said that the money is ready for pick-up at the designated bank where I assigned with. I was asking them to put my money back to my account but I havent get a reply yet from them.

Nana & Bruce does your recepient got finally the money or not??

P.S. I hope we can do something stop them to lure other people.

Am glad that I checked this website before I fully disclose my account information. I signed up with Remit2Home, but did not give my account info (thank God) because I forgot my userid and password the second time I visited the website. One of their agents called me yesterday and was very persistent about helping me.

If any of you interested about using the company I use to send money to the Philippines, here is their website: http://www. pnbrcionline.com; their exchange rate right now is $40.95; transfer fee $7.00. It is best if your fiancee/family has a bank account with PNB because it is a faster transaction, but with other bank account it could take up to 5-7 days.

I do not believe that timesofmoney.com (which is the real transfer company behind remit2home.com) are actually criminal or fraudulent. You should persist in getting your money back from them if somehow your money is “lost.”

However, there is a truly legitimate transfer company called remithome.com and the folks at timesofmoney.com decided to eneter the Philippine transfer market, so they registered the domain names of remit2home.com and remit2home1.com in a blatant attempt to take advantage of an established name and trademark. They recently LOST in arbitration over their misuse of trademark and have been ordered to transfer their domain names to the company remithome.com !!!! Check out the following websites for more information about this:

    http://www.pr-inside.com/remithome-r-wins-decision-against-indian-r460670.htm

    http://domains.adrforum.com/domains/decisions/1124302.htm

AND, if you want to sign up for the REAL remithome.com transfer service, which has done bank transfers for me to the Philippines 3 times with no problems and great customer service, just click on the following link:

    https://www.remithome.com/remithome/common/referralHome.do?referralByCode=21371

Yes, remithome.com has a referral program so you can earn free transfers or phone cards, etc. I’m very pleased with their service and they are an honest and established company with good dollar to peso exchange rates and reasonable fee of $10 for transfers up to $1000. Maybe you can find cheaper, but I don’t think that you can find better!

    All the best,
    William

Jonah, guess what, until now my husband and I have not gotten our money back!!! ithey said i was suppose to get my money on march 12, however, i left the philippines to go back to my husband on march 11. so naturally, my husband asked remit2home to transfer the money back into our account. they said, that it will take 10 days before they can work on reversing the transaction. well, it’s april 6 and until now, we still don’t have our money. imagine that,… this all started feb 28. and we don’t know where our money is!!! we still send them emails, but my husband who is usually very patient is thinking of taking extra measures…

It’s indeed sad to know that you had to go through so much trouble. But my experience with Remit2Home has so far been quite pleasant. Not just me but also my cousins and distant relatives who remit money back home in Manila have been availing the services of Remit2Home for quite sometime now. Their website is also quite informative and the unique services provided by them are also quite attractive. Touch wood, I have never had to face any difficulty while making transactions.
